Registering Minister Credentials in Payne County
The state of Oklahoma requires minister credentials to be registered with the state before a wedding is performed. If you have not yet done this and would like to do so in Payne County, you may by choosing one of the following:
- You can register your credentials in person. Please bring in a photocopy of your credentials (which we will keep). Write your phone number and address on the back of this. We will give you a book and page number.
- You can register your credentials by sending your information with another person (i.e., the bride, groom, friend, or family member). Send a photocopy of your credentials with them (which we will keep). Write your phone number and address on the back of this. We will give them your book and page number.
- You can register your credentials by mailing in a photocopy of your credentials (which we will keep). Write your phone number and address on the back of this. Please send a self addressed stamped envelope so we can return to you your book and page number.

There is not a charge for registering your minister credentials. Once you have registered your credentials, you can marry any couple, in any county, in the state of Oklahoma.
